The average recovery time of intervertebral hernias and protrusions at Rujencev.Team is 3 to 6 weeks
From the physiotherapist’s perspective, the major problem is that lots of people are carried away by the idea of pumping various large muscles of the back, while the deep muscles that hold the backbone are not worked out. The weakness of the deep muscles in itself cannot cause damage, but they hold up the vertebra and, if weakened, protrusions and hernias appear.
It also entails inflammation of the nerve endings on either side of the backbone. As a rule, this happens only ipsilaterally, that is on one side, which immediately leads to an imbalance and results in distortion
of the joint. At first pain is quite bearable, so many opt it out and thus exacerbate the process. In advanced cases, this leads to the fact that one leg becomes slightly shorter than the other, and it receives a different load. This, in its turn, leads to the fact that the pain begins to give into the
muscles and it begins to feel much stronger. Quite often in such cases, the cause of the pain is not immediately diagnosed.
